Andrea's Story

Andrea, a 45 year old mother to Ryan and partner to Nick sadly passed away in September 2011 after battling her brain tumour.

After leaving school at the age of 16, Andrea started work at Bank's Brewery where she worked all her life. She demonstrated her loyalty over her 30 years at the brewery, where she became extremely popular, making hundreds of close friends throughout her career. She was thoroughly respected and admired by her peers.

In January 2011, out of the blue, Andrea was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma, one of the most aggressuve types of malignant brain tumour. Shortly afterwards she has surgery to remove half of the tumour, followed by courses of gruelling radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Sadly the tumour didn't respond to the treatment, claiming her life in September 2011.Andrea will be sadly missed by so many both in her private and professional life.
